A Sweet Sweet Sunday!

Sunday Afternoons are sometimes kinda boring, but not this Sunday! Tatum and I spent a fun Sunday afternoon dipping raspberries, strawberries and pretzel rods in chocolate! Tatum did most of the work, I just hung out with her. Not sure exactly how she managed to get ANY of the chocolate on the fruit and pretzels, with as much as was ON HER FACE! (Around the mouth area, might I add) :0

Smiles for 2009!

The picture quality is kind of grainy, because I took a picture of their School Pictures...and it didn't turn out as fabulous as I had hoped. But, I still had to put them on here. They turned out really good. Of course, what mother wouldn't say that about her incredibly beautiful children!

Flippin' all over the place!

It has been over 6 years since she has been in gymnastics....well, trained that is. She tumbles and flips all over the house and on the trampoline, but as of about a month ago, she is back training to someday whoop Shawn Johnsons tail end! She attended a back handspring clinic on Saturday for 3 hours, and YES she was very tired! She has been able to do one on the tramp for years, but on Saturday..the clinic was strictly floor handspring training. She is mighty close too. My guess is probably 2 or 3 weeks, she will be a Pro! :) In the last 6 years we have done several different types of dancing, 5 or 6 seasons of soccer, swim and dive teams, more dancing...you name it. But I have to say, this is truly where her heart lies. Definatley Gymnastics Girl!

After the Game....

See....this is the smile I get when I say "Smile Stockton". Smarty Pants with the cheezy grin! Dad is getting the chance to be Assistant Coach this season, so that has been fun too. Funner though, seeing how proud he is of "HIS" very own Stockton!

On the Court...

Stockton plays the same position as THE MAN, as well. Front Guard, or Point Guard or something like that. I don't know all these terms...but I do Cheer very well. :)

Stockton to.....? Malone?

So, he may not have the number 12 on his jersey, but he is very small, fast and MIGHTY, just like his namesake! Stockton is now on the court. His sports have taken us MANY places over the last few years...from Taekwondo to Football to Soccer...and now Basketball. Hard to say, this early in the season, just exactly WHICH sport will end up his favorite.

A Twinkie Pinewood Derby?

It was very cute! Each child was able to make their own "Twinkie Pinewood Derby Car"..which was the dessert. The kids had a blast. Vanilla Wafer wheels, Skittle headlights, and even a GummyBear driver! Stockton had fun making one, but as you know...he's not a sweet tooth, so he gave it away. Yes, our dentist LOVES us!

And the Winner Is?

So....for our FIRST year, we did fantastic! Placed 2nd in 2 of the races and 3rd on the Final. We didn't place in the overall finals, but had a super fun time anyway. Brian and Stockton said they'd had their "fun" year this year....now its time to get "DANG SERIOUS about Pinewood Derby!" That was an EXACT quote from Dad, as I'm sure you already guessed!

Racers START YOUR ENGINES!

Each boy had a "Pit Pass" they were required to wear during the race that night. They were super cute and you could easily see that the committe had spent alot of time putting the whole evening together. It really was awesome!

Our First EVER Pinewood Derby! (Well, Mine anyway ...)

So Stockton and Dad worked hard and came up with a very simple, not to wild or crazy, but "simply" awesome, Pinewood Derby car. Stockton LOVES red (probably has something to do with the fact that Dad LOVES red too)...so the color was a given, and he came up with the "paint job". He was very excited, but nervous , at race time.... we gave him the good sport talk before hand, so we ALL were prepared for whatever the outcome would be. He is ALWAYS a good sport...as long as he WINS! Just kidding...he really is. Just had fun being a part of it all this year! Something every young cub scout looks very forward to. :)

Water Slides at the Pool

Basha High School opened a super fun pool this year, and they were open for Spring Break. Complete with Slides, 2 diving boards, lap pool, lazy river, whirlpool and a HUGE playground apperatus (sp?) in the water, in the beach entry little kids area. We had tons of fun. We actually went with friends a few times this week. Sadly, Spring Break is over tomorrow and AIMS testing starts on Monday! Yikes. Glad I'm not in school!

Fun in the Good Ol' Arizona Sun!

Stingray Bay

Stingray Bay is the coolest ever! They have you wash your hands up to your elbows and then let you pet and feed the stingrays. Stockton was a little hesitant but he finally did "gently" touch a couple of them. It took ALOT of coaxing.....BUT, he did it! Taum was fearless, as usual! They had 2 little baby sharks in the tank with them, you can see the tail end of a baby Tiger Shark in these pictures. Neither of them attempted to pet either of those! :)

Speaking of Comical......

MY knuckleheads thought they were just cool as heck because they weren't bucked off these "horses". Its a good thing, cuz if they were I would be a little worried about their mentality! :)

More Zoo....

Apparently, Goats even have Sibling Rivalry goin' on! ha ha. These two knuckleheads were literally "butting" heads the entire time we were there. It was quite comical, actually.

Spring Break at the Phoenix Zoo!

So since we were in town this Spring Break, we spent the week doin' TONS of fun things, from best friends sleepovers, to SWIMMING...yes, in March :), and the Phoenix Zoo! I took many pictures of the kids, but these were their favorite animals of the day!
